OUR STORY

​Stuff Doctor was established in 2012 by Joe Ratto and David Drivon for the purpose of helping people and business entities relieve themselves of the burden of having too much stuff.

​

Joe, a recenty retired entreprenuer, and David, a practicing local attorney, have been friends since junior high school.  Both share a passion for "picking".  That is, for many years they have traveled together scouring garage and estate sales etc. finding items to add to their personal collections or for resale.

​

During their many years together picking, Joe and David would often hear people voice their frustrations about having gathered too much stuff, either in their garages or in  storage facilities etc., only to then waste hours and hours  of precious weekend time dragging the stuff out to the driveway to sell.

​

It became apparent to Joe and David that after a decade of over consumption people have cluttered their lives with so much stuff that they can no longer walk through their garages let alone park their cars inside where they belong.​

Hence the idea for Stuff Doctor was born.

​

Stuff Doctor provides a service whereby the entire contents of houses, garages, estates, storage facilities, collections etc. are purchsed for a reasonable price.  The stuff is then carried away and the area left broom clean.  Stuff Doctor liquidates the stuff on the resale market.  What is not sold is donated to a charity chosen by the original owner.

Stuff Doctor creates a "win-win" situation whereby people's lives are no longer cluttered with stuff.   People are able to put money in their pocket, and at the same time have the satisfaction of knowing they have contributed to charity.
